Three taps between you and the road
No docking stations to hunt for and no kiosk to queue at. Everything happens in the app, in under a minute.
Find a bike
Open the map and see the Blu Bikes parked around you, with distance and availability at a glance.
Scan to unlock
Point the camera at the QR code on the frame. The app pairs with the bike over Bluetooth and the lock opens.
Park, lock, done
End the ride in the app when you park. Distance and cost are settled from your Blu Wallet — a receipt lands in your history.
Built for the way Lagos actually rides
Patchy signal, real distances, real money. Every part of the app is designed to keep working when conditions aren't perfect.
Bluetooth unlock
The app talks to the bike directly, so unlocking doesn't depend on a perfect data connection. If a ride is left open with no Bluetooth session, the app offers to return the bike instead of stranding you.
Live trip tracking
Your route is recorded as you ride, with a GPS heartbeat while the bike is parked mid-trip.
Transparent per-km rates
The current rate is quoted before you unlock and again when you end the ride. It's fetched fresh on every launch and kept on device, so it still shows when you're offline.
Ride history & receipts
Every trip with its distance, duration and cost — scroll back as far as you've ridden.
Account security
Email verification at sign-up, optional two-factor authentication, and password changes from the profile screen.
Safety built into the flow
The safety warnings are shown again at every unlock — not buried once at sign-up.
Ride cashless.
One balance covers every ride. Top it up when it suits you and forget about it — no cash to carry, no card to fish out at a kiosk.
Top up in seconds
Card or bank transfer at checkout, handled by Paystack. The app returns to your wallet the moment payment clears.
Every ride settles itself
Unlock, ride, park. The fare is drawn from your balance when the ride ends — nothing to tap, nothing to sign.
No surprises
Your balance is shown before you unlock, and the app warns you about a shortfall before you're stuck with it.

The rules that keep you upright
Cycling carries real risk. The app reminds you of the essentials at every unlock — here they are in full.
Read the safety warningsCheck the bike first
Brakes, tyres, handlebars, battery, visible damage. Something off? Don't ride it — report it in the app.
Keep your ears free
No earphones or headphones while riding. You need to hear traffic, sirens and people around you.
Phone stays away
No texting, browsing or tapping in motion. Pull over somewhere safe first.
Ride defensively
Assume drivers haven't seen you. Watch for potholes, wet surfaces, motorcycles and construction.
Questions, answered
What do I need to start riding?
An account with a verified email, a Nigerian phone number and a topped-up Blu Wallet. Riders must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian's approval.
How much does a ride cost?
Rides are billed per kilometre. The current rate is shown in the app before you unlock and again when the ride ends, so you always see the figure you'll be charged.
Do I need cash or a card on me?
No. Everything is settled from your Blu Wallet. Top it up with a card or bank transfer through Paystack whenever it runs low.
What if I lose Bluetooth mid-ride?
The ride stays open and your position keeps updating. When you're done, the app offers to return the bike so the trip can be closed and billed properly even without a live Bluetooth session.
Where do I park?
Blu Bike is dock-free — park sensibly and legally, out of the way of pedestrians and traffic, then end the ride in the app to lock the bike.
Something's wrong with a bike. What now?
Don't ride it. Report it from the app, or email us at blutranslogisticsltd@gmail.com and we'll take it out of service.
Your first ride is one scan away
Blu Bike is rolling out across Lagos. The apps land on the App Store and Google Play shortly — in the meantime, say hello and we'll let you know the moment they do.
